About the Artist

I love acoustic guitar music.  I enjoy all styles of music played on an acoustic guitar.  I married my husband because of a song he wrote on an acoustic.  But I can't play one.  Don't like the feel of the strings on my fingers.  Go figure, in any case to honor my husband, to honor the musicians who develop their skill and play guitar, and to honor my own love of the instrument, I chose to mosaic them.  They can no longer be played, but they can be appreciated.

I am trying to express love through enhancing the innate beauty of the guitar.  At least, that is what I am hoping to create.  I do love the feel of the glass and the way the light shines through and reflects off the surface.  It is a gift to be able to practice this craft.  A classical guitarist named Segundo Pastor ( I saw him in college), said "A guitar is like a woman, she needs to be caressed".  For those guitars that no one plays due to buzzing strings, dissonant tone, or they are just outgrown (like student guitars), perhaps now they can be caressed with the eyes rather than the hands.
